We arrived with the ferry at noon, I found a camping at 30 km and decide to sleep there tonight. So I quickly ride across Patras, I stop to eat some food, I dont know what it is, but it has spinach and it is good, so I buy a second one. My pace is already slower than Italy, I want to get used to the pace and style of the drivers. I thought the driving in the south of Italy was bad, which was agressive, no blinkers, fast… you just have to expect anyone to do something random. Well in Greece everyone is doing something random, half the motorcycle drivers dont have helmets, cars are parked everywhere, roads are thin, but not as fast as Italy from what I have seen.
I mostly bike along the water, and sometimes go a bit inland where it is super hilly. The water looks beautiful, there is forest fire on the other side of…
The camping is next to the water and is super nice, I eat, relax on the beach, go for a long swim, probably one top campings yet.
Later on, Mark another biker arrives, he is in his early 60s, looks 50, and has a beautiful titanium bike, he is from the UK but currently lives in Greece and just finished a big tour around the Adriatic. We talk for a little bit and then have dinner together. He tells me tips and tricks on the bike, we talk about travelling, possible destinations and we then quickly go to bed.
