Day 12 – Recovery in Budapest

Did not sleep a lot this morning, woke up before 9h00, so only 4 hours of sleep.

Everything is closed here, so breakfast at a chinese restaurant, one of my favorite meals that I did not eat since shenzhen. Lovely.

I then proceeded to climb and a bit of bouldering next to where I took this picture. Enjoyed the views, walked around in the hill next to Budapest, and then walked into the city to explore for a bit. I spent the rest of the day chilling at the hostel and met another French biker called Jeremy, 28, he is a woodworker. He hiked from le Mans to Nordic countries, to Baltics, and has been in Budapest for the winter, he has done the same tour as I am doing but the opposite direction, we spend a lot of time talking routes and tips.

We then drank beers offered by a Dutch group of students (there are 80 in the hostel), and they have way too much alcohol for the group, so they have given it to most people here. They also offered me food, which gladly accepted. It was very good homemade pasta and tomato and mozzarella. We kept talking a with Jeremy about girls, biking, life, motorcycles, le mans races, and any other subjects that came to our minds. I then met Evan, who is sleeping in the bunk bed next to me, a half Hungarian/American from the North West coast of the US. We quickly chatted about sailing and skiing, but it is time to go to bed. Hostels are great places to meet people, open-minded people who are willing to share and live in a community.
